how do you say nike in chinese

ESPN recently featured Yi Jianlian, a young chinese basketball player set to enter the 2007 draft. they say he's legit and has the skills. curious. so i look around on youtube and find this fantastic commercial -- it's one of the better commercials i've seen and i love it.

damn you, gates

after a few months of not blogging, i'm back. and damn i'm addicted to my xbox. over the past month or so, i've played an average of 50 hours of video games per week. 2 sundays ago, i played 8 hours worth of boxing. ouch. at least i've finished a few games so it's not all for naught. haha.

and then i signed up for xbox live last week. what an addictive service. my user name is virtualsmack, so add me. what a great service, though. it tells you when your friends log on, you can leave voice and text messages and you can invite each other to play 1-1 matches. i've found about 3 fairly cool friends who share my enthusiasm in my xbox, which makes me feel like a really cool loser.

so that's what i've been up to; so much for picking up new hobbies. this week should be good though. power hour on thursday and a bunch of birthday and graduation celebrations will get me out of the house. yes, for some reason i got motivated for a power hour. i feel like i'm back in college. welcome to bschool.

shoe maps

check out sneaker stores, a site that uses google maps functionality to list sneaker joints — anywhere in the world. Clicking on a country, and then a listing, generates a map, directions, a store description, brands carried and the store’s website.

dope!

boblo

in Jan 07, I picked up a pair of Nike Boblo's after reading about them in Sole Collector. one wear and I was totally in love. in true obsessive compulsive behavior, I bought another pair a few weeks later, so that I'd have an virgin pair.

what I love about the shoes... they look like an old school hoops shoe, they have some Nike dunk flavor, and of course, camo - i freakin' love camo.
